Simply put, Smart Wallets are more user friendly than traditional non-custodial wallets because there aren’t any private keys or seed phrases to store, but it’s just as secure. Instead, Dtravel customers can use their email to create a web3 wallet to hold their funds when accepting crypto payments.

As of January 2024, anyone that hasn’t yet connected a MetaMask wallet will be able to create a Smart Wallet directly from their Dtravel account.

If you’re somewhat new to crypto and don’t yet have a wallet, we recommend creating a Smart Wallet simply with your email. If you’re not new to crypto wallets, we recommend using one of your existing wallets as the auth login for the creation of a smart wallet.

How to create and use Smart wallet on Dtravel?

1. If you’re a new customer, first you’ll need to sign up for a Dtravel Host account.

1. Enter personal and business details in the onboarding flow. When entering Payment methods section in the onboarding flow, click on Create a wallet button to create a smart wallet.

1. A smart wallet can be created using Email, Metamask, Coinbase wallet, or WalletConnect.
