To sync your calendars from other websites that you get bookings from, you can use iCal to sync your calendars with Dtravel. iCal is a commonly used industry tool that syncs availability to avoid double bookings.
With iCal, you have two options - importing and exporting a calendar. Think of importing as your bookings and availability coming into Dtravel and exporting as your Dtravel availability and bookings going out to platforms and services that you’re using.
Importing a Calendar
- To import a calendar, choose the listing you wish to import a calendar for. On the listing details page, select “Availability & Los” option then “Import calendar”.
- You’ll be prompted to add your iCal URL and enter a name for this calendar. Copy the URL from your external calendar (ex: Airbnb) into the calendar address field. Make sure your external calendar address URL (iCal links) ends in .ICS.
- You can find how to export your external calendars from:
- Once you have enter your iCal URL from the platform you’d like to sync a calendar from, name it, then click “Connect”.
- You’ll see a confirmation message that the calendar is now imported. You’ll need to do this with all the different websites/platforms where you have bookings to ensure that you don’t get double bookings.
